Be Elite Tyre Fit Club is a specific cross-training fitness workout that combines the outdoor group training 'bootcamp' style workout with a fitness tyre workout.

You can lift them, carry them, swing them, throw them, push 'em, pull 'em, roll 'em, flip 'em, whatever you like with them. But it's a whole new training experience and tailored to improve all aspects of hockey fitness. The workout will include core and strength training, as well as speed and agility exercises. Testimonials

Iain Walker

Iain Walker - (Irish International Hockey Goal Keeper)

"Stephen Barry has been involved in the strength and conditioning industry for many years and by just doing a couple of sessions with him, you will immediately notice the knowledge and experience he has when it comes to training.

Without fail, any goals i have set myself in the gym over the last 5 years, Steve has helped me to achieve them. This is down to his motivation, dedication, attention to detail and enthusiastic training style. I can't remember the last time i saw Steve working and not smiling, this just shows how much he enjoys helping others.

If anybody, no matter what age, weight class or what sport they played came up and asked me about getting a personal trainer, i would tell them to go see Stephen Barry. He couldnt even imagine how much i appreciate all the work he has put in. Being completely honest, I wouldn't be able to train with anyone else."

Peter Herron

Peter Herron - (Elite Basketball)

"I’m a basketball player on the Irish U-16 team that competed in the European Championships 2008. I trained with Steve for 6 months prior to going away with the team. He designed a great overall program, a general schedule for the 6 months, as well as a weekly timetable, which aimed to achieve my peak performance for the Euros. Each step involved a different workout, different types of exercises to enhance specific muscles in the right way for my sport. I went to the gym 2 or 3 times a week and completed each phase one by one.

By the time I was finished the program I really felt I had developed the strength and endurance that I wanted in my body. I was much more confident in my physical abilities on the basketball court and I felt I could compete with anyone in Europe. I went to Bosnia with the team; started every game, led the team in scoring, and was performer of the game in 4 out of the 8 games. I had a great tournament and I really owe a lot of my success to what I did with Steve in the Gym."

Carole Kinsela

Carole Kinsela - (1st time Marathon runner)

"I am a most reluctant sporting enthusiast, however in my forties, I discovered skiing and found myself anxious to become fit if only to avoid the bone aching weariness and screaming muscles at the end of the ski day. Steve evaluated my fitness (!) and organised an exercise schedule for me. I committed to regular sessions with Steve and he has helped me to prepare for walking three stages of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, the Harbour to Harbour walk, the Dublin Marathon and the Connaught Marathon. It has been a slow climb from virtual couch potato to fitter, slimmer; and less stressed person. When I announced to Steve that my colleague and I planned to ‘run’ the next marathon he did not flinch. I had never run before, felt sure I never could and am still amazed that I did. We started running for 1 min and walking for 1 min and slowly built up the time and distance. It is testament to Steve’s patience, persistence and encouragement that not only have I achieved my goals but now have set a new goal; reduce the time for next years New York marathon."
